Ltd organised the Yoplait \/ Candia Sports Medicine Programme at New Bambous Government School on Wednesday 19 September 2018 in the presence of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mrs. S. Pandoo, Ag. School Headmistress <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Staff of the Mauritius Sports Council\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The objectives of the talks are to make the students aware of the benefits of Sports, proper physical activities and a good nutrition for maintaining a healthy life style.&nbsp;&nbsp;An Ice Box, a First Aid Kit and Sports Equipment were offered to the Institution for use.&nbsp;&nbsp;Posters, flyers on sensitization program and booklets on Sports Medicine were offered to all participants.&nbsp;The Resource Persons proceeded with the talks as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><em>Good nutrition\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>presented byDr. Bernard Baptiste;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>The Importance of Physical Activities\u00a0presented<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0by Mr. Michel Chang Kye, Physiotherapist, Chairman \/ Paramedical Committee of the Mauritius Sports Council.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>90 students of grade 6 attended the talks.&nbsp;A quiz was held with questions related to the talks on Sports Medicine at the end of the programme and six participants answered correctly the questions and were offered T- shirt as prizes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of the talk, Candia Milk was offered to all participants<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Mauritius Sports Council in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth &amp; Sports and under the sponsorship of Panagora Marketing Co.
