Ltd organised the Yoplait \/ Candia Sports Medicine Programme at Indira Gandhi\u00a0Social Welfare Centre, Palma on Wednesday 20 July 2016 in the presence of:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0Staff of the Mauritius Sports Council;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0Ms. Franc\u00e8s Fid\u00e8le<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0Mrs Nicole Donald\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The objectives of the talks are to make the Senior Citizens &amp; Women Associations aware of the benefits of Sports, proper physical activities and a good nutrition for maintaining a healthy life style.\u00a0\u00a0A First Aid kit was offered for use at the Social Centre and Booklets on Sports Medicine were offered to all participants.\u00a0The Resource Persons proceeded with the talks as follows:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><em>Good nutrition,\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>presented byMrs. Kavita Ragavoodoo, Principal Nutritionist, Ministry of Health &amp; Quality of Life;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><em>The Importance of Physical Activities\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>presented by Mr. Michel Chang Kye, Physiotherapist, Chairman Medical \/ Paramedical Committee of the Mauritius Sports Council.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;45 Senior Citizens and Women of different Associations of the region attended the talks.&nbsp;A quiz was held with questions related to the talks on Sports Medicine at the end of the programme. Five participants namely Sharone Nama, Cinderella Sooklall, Georgette Anodin, Marie Silva Debousenille and Monique Laseringue answered correctly the questions and were offered a T- shirt as prizes.&nbsp;At the end of the talk, Candia Milk was offered to all participants.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Mauritius Sports Council in collaboration with Panagora Marketing Co.
