National Sports Award 2014

The Mauritius Sports Council in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth & Sports organised the 29th Edition of the National Sports Award Gala Night 2014 on Friday 30 January 2015 at the J & J Auditorium in the presence of:

Trophies were offered to all winners by the Mauritius Sports Council.

A gift comprising of a mobile phone was also offered to both Handisports Athletes by Mauritius Telecom / Orange.

 

Gift Voucher

Mr. Dominique Filleul of City Sport presented a gift voucher of Rs 1,500 to Hon. Yogida Sawmynaden, Minister of Youth & Sports which will be remitted to all nominees of the National Sports Award 2014.

 

Special Prize

Similar to the National Sports Award 2013, the Mauritius Sports Council has decided to award a Special Prize to the Best Photograph which was published in the press for the year 2014.

Mr. Rashid MUKOON from 24 Hr Info is the winner and he has been offered a Trophy and a cheque of

 Rs 15,000/- remitted by Hon. Yogida Sawmynaden, Minister of Youth & Sports.

 

‘Ancienne Gloire’

The athletes / gold medalist of different sports discipline who represented the Indian Ocean Island Games (I.O.I.G) of 1985 and 2003 were invited on stage accompanied by 12 youngsters of the Ecole de Foot.

During the Gala night, the guests were entertained by various artists namely:
